Many DJ’s offer ‘packages’ at varying prices which may include extra lighting effects or a larger sound system. This can be confusing as you may not know exactly what you are paying for and by choosing one of the cheaper packages, you may feel you are being offered an inferior service.
I provide a bespoke sound and lighting service for every client, and I can supply everything listed on the My Equipment page. However, the equipment I use can be adapted depending on the size of the chosen venue and your personal preferences and I will discuss this with you before any final fee is agreed.
I prefer to get the sound and lighting equipment set up and ready for when your guests arrive (even if this is earlier on in the day). This means you don’t have any disruption caused to your event by the loading in and setting up of equipment. I don’t charge any extra for that service, unlike some of my competitors.
For larger scale events, I work with trusted partners who can provide sound systems and additional lighting. Additional services will be priced accordingly and I will work closely with you to ensure your event is designed to your exact requirements.
I’m based in Eastbourne, East Sussex but I’m happy to travel anywhere. I don’t charge for travel inside Sussex. Travel outside of Sussex is charged at 0.50p per mile from my base to the venue and back.
If the event location is over 100 miles away from my base then an overnight stay will be required. A charge will be made for accommodation, sustenance and other expenses that may be incurred. This will of course be agreed with the client in advance.
I don’t charge for setup time, and I am not currently VAT registered, so the price I quote for you is all-inclusive and there are no hidden extras. Contact me today for your personalised quote!
Terms and Conditions:
Reservation Fee: I charge 50% of the hire fee as reservation fee (deposit) for every booking. Bookings are not confirmed unless a reservation fee (deposit) has been paid and I have recieved a signed copy of the written agreement. If both of those conditions are not met, then the booking will not take place.
Hire Fee: I will require the full balance of the hire fee to be paid at least 30 days before the function date.
Cancellation Policy: If the client cancels the booking or the event does not take place for any reason then the reservation fee (deposit) will be forfeit. A cancellation fee of not less than one half of the agreed fee will also be applied for. If cancellation is made within 31 days of the performance date then the full balance will be payable. Cancellations must be notified in writing and receipt of such notification will be confirmed in writing by me.
Terms and Conditions of Performance:
I will require access to a properly earthed mains electricity supply which is sufficient to allow safe usage of the required equipment for the performance. If the power supply is inadequate, then the amount of equipment used in the performance may be reduced. If I consider that the electricity supply or any other aspect of the event is unsafe at any time, then I reserve the right to refuse to start or continue the performance.
I will need adequate time to set up my equipment prior to the performance and a sufficient period afterwards to dismantle and remove my equipment from the venue. I will advise the client how long the set-up and break-down is likely to take, and will liaise with the venue too.
The client is responsible for providing adequate supervision of all guests, staff and customers at the venue and will be liable for any loss or damage to equipment caused by guests, staff or customers. I treat my clients and their guests with the utmost respect and expect the same in return. If I experience any hostile or abusive behaviour from anyone attending the event, then I reserve the right to terminate the performance immediately. In this instance, there will be NO REFUND of any portion of the total hire fee, including the reservation fee.
If you want me to carry on playing beyond the hours you have booked and paid for I am more than happy to do this! Overtime will be charged at £50.00 per half hour or part thereof. Before overtime can commence, I will have to clear it with the venue management and the extra charge will have to be paid in cash.
